Event Details
Create beautifully delicate holiday cards using the timeless art of parchment craft — a technique that transforms paper into lace-like designs using only hand tools and your creativity.
Parchment craft involves working with a special type of paper (not to be confused with baking parchment!) that turns white under pressure. This unique quality allows you to emboss, perforate, cut, and stencil intricate patterns that look elegant and refined.
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the fundamentals of embossing, texturing, and decorative cutting as you design your own personalized holiday cards. We’ll explore a variety of festive motifs — from snowflakes and ornaments to wintry scenes and joyful messages — perfect for gifting or displaying.
All materials will be provided — just bring your enthusiasm and love for crafting!
This workshop will be led by arts instructor Smriti Sangal of Culture Chauraha.
It is open to Livingston Library cardholders 18 and up with registration only. Spots are limited.
This event is made possible with the support of The Friends of the Livingston Public Library.
