Event Details

The practice of yoga is very beneficial to one’s physical and mental health.

Join us for our monthly yoga session for adults led by a certified yoga instructor from Niyama Yoga Shala, 2022 Best of Essex winner in the wellness provider and yoga studio categories.

Vinyasa yoga is a physical practice of yoga that focuses on linking yoga poses, or asanas, together with the breath in a smooth and flowing sequence.  This Open Level Vinyasa Flow session will incorporate mindful traditional yoga movement in tandem with appropriate breathing techniques (pranayama).  The class will include inspiring music, dharma discussion, and mindful methods of communication to help spark a mind/body connection in a manner and release stagnant energy.

A knowledge of yoga asana is not required, as the instructor  will work with all levels of a practitioner.  The focus will be on offering a variety of variations to asanas / postures to encourage all levels and abilities to reap the benefits of yoga.  Each participant will leave with a renewed sense of balance, self, and joy!

Participants are requested to wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat, any needed props and a water bottle.

This session is open to adults 18 and up and space is limited. Registration is encouraged.

It is made possible with the support of The Friends of the Livingston Public Library.
