There is no more passionate, exciting, and ultimately heartbreaking tale in music than the creative flowering of the Beach Boys' Brian Wilson. This lecture will explain exactly what happened, and how it led to a nervous breakdown from which he arguably never recovered. 

Guest David Gebroe has been the creator and host of the music obsessives’ podcast Discograffiti for over four years, with a particularly granular focus on The Beach Boys.  At the moment, he’s in the midst of a 49-episode series focusing solely on their 1966 masterpiece Pet Sounds.  And that’s not even his favorite of their records.  (That’d be their never-released follow-up, Smile.  Trust us, don’t get him started.)
