Financial literacy is vital no matter what stage of life you are in.

This program series called “Be Money Wise” presents 3 financial education programs in collaboration with M&T Bank of Livingston’s Money Mentor program.

Budgeting: Why and How is the first program in the series.

Having a budget is knowing where your money is going instead of wondering where it went.

This workshop will explore the importance of creating and maintaining a budget. It will show how knowing where your money is going can provide a sense of empowerment and control , reduce your stress and help you to achieve your short- and long-term financial goals.  It will examine the differences between wants and needs, which will help set one’s goals for spending, savings and even debt repayment.  The talk will also cover topics like what’s breaking your budget, knowing your income and expenses, and tracking your spending.

The other 2 programs in the series are :

Planning for Retirement, May 3, 2pm

Identity Theft and Protection, June 7, 2pm

Presenter Ryan Heitt is the Senior Relationship Banker at the local M&T Bank in Livingston. In his 10 years of banking, he has done his best to dedicate all of the knowledge in every facet of banking to best assist his clients and guide them to their financial goals. Some of his clients have called him a “financial therapist” that you never have to pay for! M&T Bank is one of the top 20 full-service U.S.-based commercial banks, with 17,000 employees and a long history of community-focused banking.

These programs are open to all and no registration is required.  You can attend one or more programs in the series.
