Program Description

Event Details

Arlington National Cemetery features the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, honoring some unknown military heroes ; but sadly there are too many others that remain unsung and forgotten.

Join historian, author and speaker Michael Czuchnicki as he pays tribute by sharing the inspiring stories and brave exploits of some less known and less remembered American war heroes.

Even a major motion picture does little to make Corporal Desmond Doss’ name (from the battle of Okinawa) resonate.  Other heroes whose stories Michael shares with us include:  the Revolutionary War's Joseph Morris, Vietnam's Charles Watters and all those at Jockey Hollow in New Jersey.  He also touches upon some other Congressional Medal of Honors winners and others honored at the Tomb Of the Unknown Soldier.

Michael hopes to inspire the audience by remembering these forgotten heroes and their accounts of military valor and hardship.

The program is open to all and no registration is needed.

It is made possible with the support of The Friends of the Livingston Public Library.
