Event Details

Every year, the Garden State Children's Book Award committee selects nominees from American children's literature based on literary merit. 

Children choose the winners by reading and voting for their favorite book. The nominees are divided into 4 categories: early readers, fiction, graphic novels, and nonfiction.

Voting results from Livingston Library and other NJ libraries are counted by the Garden State Children's Book Award committee and winners are announced in June.

Votes can be submitted on the Children's Department webpage through December 15th.
