February is Heart Health Month!

Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States for both men and women. But you can do a lot to protect your heart and stay healthy.

Taking care of your heart can be complex. Understanding your condition and medications are very important to cardiovascular health.

Health Heart Matters will dive into topics like cardiac medications, and cardiac issues such as signs and symptoms of a heart attack, cardiomyopathy, and heart rhythm disorders such as palpitations, heart racing and irregular heartbeat, and what can be done to detect or monitor them.

Also covered will be ways to reduce your risk of heart disease such as management of cholesterol and other lifestyle changes to keep your heart healthy, along with new technologies related to heart health.

This informative workshop will be presented by Claudia Irmiere, NP Cardiac Services at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center.

The event is open to all and registration is required.
