Event Details
Get creative this fall at our Scarecrow Decorating Contest, the highlight of the Livingston Public Library's Fall Fest on Sunday, October 12th. Families and groups are invited to design and decorate their very own scarecrow - funny, spooky, or totally unique. All entries will be displayed at the library during the Fall Fest for the community to enjoy, and visitors will vote for their favorites. Winners will be announced on Monday, October 13th. Whether you’re a seasoned crafter or just want to have some fall fun, this is your chance to show off your autumn spirit!
Scarecrow decorating kits may be picked up at the Reference desk starting Thursday, September 18th at 10am. You may add any embellishments of your choice. Kits are limited in supply; please register for a kit starting Wednesday, September 3rd at 10am. Please only register for a kit if you will be able to bring it in for the competition. You will need an adult Livingston Library card to register.
Scarecrows may be of any size. Decorated scarecrows will need to be brought in on Wednesday, October 8th or Thursday, October 9th to be eligible for the competition.
