The Livingston Public Library invites the public to the next show in the 2022 Senior Happening series on  Friday, June 24th at 1pm featuring “Dance Through the ages” by The Synergismus Duo. The program will feature Classical and folk dances for violin and cello spanning four continents and 500 years.

Synergismus is the premier violin-cello duo of Northern New Jersey. Its members, Millie and Randy Calistri- Yeh, live in Florham Park and have been playing together for over 30 years in New York and New Jersey. They are well known locally for their annual summer concerts. Millie Calistri-Yeh is first violinist in the Livingston Symphony Orchestra (NJ). She was previously first violinist in the Penfield Symphony Orchestra (NY) and assistant concertmaster of the Finger Lakes Symphony Orchestra (NY). She studied violin at the Eastman School of Music under Stanley Chepaitis and Oliver Steiner. Randy Calistri-Yeh is principal cellist with the Livingston Symphony Orchestra (NJ). He was previously principal cellist of the Penfield Symphony Orchestra (NY) and the Finger Lakes Symphony Orchestra (NY). He is the founder of Custom Chamber Music, which provides custom arrangements of classical music.

The Senior Happening is a monthly series that allows attendees (“Seniors” or otherwise) to socialize during the first part of the program (12:30 until 1pm). The program and entertainment then begins at 1pm.

Registration is required and may be done in person at the library; by telephone at (973) 992-4600; or online at www.livingstonlibrary.org. Livingston residents may register starting Monday, June 6th and other Essex County residents may register starting Monday, June 20th.
