Saturday Matinee: THE WILD ROBOT

After a shipwreck, an intelligent robot called Roz (Lupita Nyong'o) is stranded on an uninhabited island. To survive the harsh environment, Roz bonds with the island's animals and cares for an orphaned baby goose.

The New York Times raves that The Wild Robot "is a dazzling triumph of animation in which you feel the filmmakers’ attention on every frame. In a revivifying turn away from the gag-a-minute, computer-generated extravaganzas clogging up the animated zoological canon, this is a work that cares most about two things: big feelings and great beauty."

The Wild Robot is rated PG, and runs 1 hour & 45 minutes. It will be screened with English subtitles for the hard of hearing.

This screening is free and open to the public, with no registration required. Free popcorn will be served (while supplies last). Doors open 30 minutes before showtime.
