Come see Yorgos Lanthimos's KINDS OF KINDNESS on the big screen in our program room!
In this triptych of off-kilter stories, a man (Jesse Plemons) seeks to break free from his predetermined path; a cop (Jesse Plemons) questions the demeanor of his wife (Emma Stone) after her return from a supposed drowning; and a woman (Emma Stone) searches for an extraordinary individual prophesied to become a renowned spiritual guide.
The New York Times says that Kinds of Kindness "at first seems slight, then gains meaning the longer you hold its three seemingly disconnected short films in juxtaposition and peer through the overlaps...If you think you know what's happening in a scene, just wait." The film was nominated for the Palme d'Or at this year's Cannes Film Festival, where star Jesse Plemons won the award for Best Actor.
Kinds of Kindness is rated R, and runs 2 hours & 45 minutes. It will be screened with English subtitles for the hard of hearing.
This screening is free and open to the public, with no registration required. Free popcorn will be served (while supplies last). Doors open 30 minutes before showtime.
