Did you know that there are a surprising number of shrubs and plants that showcase their blooms in winter and can liven up your backyard?

Learn how to make a delightful garden to liven up the dreary winter landscape, and how to protect your plants from harsh conditions, in this talk by horticulture expert Marc Zukovich. Special attention will be paid to plants that require additional care for winter survival. Slides will be shown of shrubs and trees that exhibit not only winter interest, but beautify multiple seasons as well. Marc will also discuss some hardscape features that can accentuate a winter garden, such as an arbor or landscape lighting. Hand-outs will accompany this talk and questions are welcomed.

Marc teaches classes in horticulture as an adjunct professor at the County College of Morris, where he was recognized with the NISOD national award for teaching excellence. He also teaches community courses for the Adult School of the Chathams, Madison and Florham Park and lectures to garden clubs and library programs throughout northern New Jersey. Marc also provides a ‘garden coaching’ & landscape consultation service to homeowners and contractors.

This program is open to all and no registration is required.

It is made possible with the support of The Friends of the Livingston Public Library.
