Join us for a special evening with award-winning Bollywood filmmaker, author, and LGBTQ+ activist Onir at the Livingston Public Library on Wednesday, October 15th at 7:00 PM.
Onir is best known for his internationally acclaimed films such as My Brother…Nikhil and I Am, which broke new ground in Indian cinema by bringing LGBTQ+ stories to the forefront with honesty and compassion. He is also the author of the memoir I Am Onir and I Am Gay, a powerful story of courage, creativity, and identity.
In this engaging author talk, Onir will share his journey as a filmmaker, author, and LGBTQ+ activist – followed by an audience Q&A, book signing, and light refreshments. A limited number of books will be available for purchase at the event, giving attendees the opportunity to have their copy signed by Onir.
This event is presented in collaboration with Indians in Livingston (IIL) and Shiv’s Third Eye.
Free and open to all, registration is not required.
