Event Details
Join us after school for a monthly hands-on STEAM experience! Children in grades 3-5 will learn about the science behind the experiment of the day, then work on their own project with assistance.
This month's activity will be a mini egg drop challenge. Participants will discuss the basics of Newton's laws of motion and how they might apply to protecting a falling egg. They will then have the opportunity to practice what they've learned in teams by selecting from a variety of provided materials to cushion an egg inside a plastic bag, which will be dropped from a height to see if it survives the impact.
NOTE: real eggs will be used in this challenge - please confirm your consent in the registration form
