Join us for an informative workshop to learn all the basics of baking sourdough - and go home with your very own starter!
Local baker Eric Stein of Eric’s Sourdough will walk you through the process of making sourdough from start(er) to finish, with a Q&A to follow. You will learn how to rest and rise, stretch and fold, and score and bake a fresh, crusty loaf of sourdough bread. Patrons will go home with a jar of active starter courtesy of Eric’s Sourdough and a guidebook on caring for your starter, with a simple sourdough bread recipe developed by Eric included.
Eric Stein is a licensed cottage baker, selling homemade sourdough bread and bagels out of his home in South Orange. He has over 20 years’ experience in the culinary industry, having worked as a cook, chef, and private chef before establishing Eric’s Sourdough in 2021.
