The May 2025 edition of our "Music Matters" concert series features the Flying Strings Youth Ensemble.

Established by mentor Jin Yang, a very well-known Pipa artist and music educator, the Flying Strings Youth Ensemble plays diverse instruments, including Pipa, Guzheng, Erhu, Zhongruan, flute, violin, cello, and piano. This group of talented young musicians from ages 8 to 18 blend traditional Chinese and western music. They have performed at various events, such as Chinese New Year celebrations and Jazz festivals, and have brought their music to senior living facilities, schools, museums, libraries. Our members have been recognized in variety of international competitions, including  the “Dunhuang Cup”, “Great Composers Competition”, and “Golden Classical Music Awards”.
