The treatments for chronic pain are as diverse as the causes. From over-the-counter and prescription drugs to mind/body techniques to acupuncture, there are a lot of approaches.
Join us for an informative session on pain management including traditional and alternative therapies. Discover effective ways to manage muscle pain, headaches, arthritis, and nerve pain while learning about their symptoms and causes.
This program will review how to select safe and appropriate over-the-counter medications while taking other health conditions into account. It will also explore alternative approaches, including physical therapy, exercise, and tai chi to support holistic pain relief and help alleviate pain without relying solely on medication.
Presenter Lucio Volino, PharmD, is a clinical pharmacist for the Retail Network at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center and the Clinical Associate Professor, Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy, at Rutgers University.
This presentation is in partnership with the Community Health & Outreach Department at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center. It is open to all and registration is required.
