Enjoy Oliver Hermanus's film Living on the big screen in our program room!

Living is the story of an ordinary man (Bill Nighy), reduced by years of oppressive office routine to a shadow existence, who at the eleventh hour makes a supreme effort to turn his dull life into something wonderful. Nighy was nominated for an Oscar for his performance, as was the screenplay by Kazuo Ishiguro (The Remains of the Day, Never Let Me Go). It is adapted from Akira Kurosawa's 1952 film Ikiru, which in turn was inspired by Leo Tolstoy's 1886 novella The Death of Ivan Ilyich.

The film is rated PG-13, and runs 102 minutes. It will be screened with subtitles for the hard of hearing.

This screening is free and open to all, with no registration required.
