what they have.

Understand the logistics and resources needed to properly care for a variety of items.

With a background working with museum artifacts and family heirlooms, presenter Lindsey Smith loves to help people interpret, preserve, and better understand the objects that make up our world. Lindsey has spoken to dozens of groups across the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic, helping audiences understand how to appreciate and care for their old photographs, clothing, and other treasured heirlooms.

Lindsey has an MA in Historical Administration and advanced coursework in archives and records management. Past job titles include: Director of Collections, Exhibits, & Archives, University Archivist & Rare Book Librarian, and Collections & Exhibitions Manager. Lindsey spent a decade as a museum exhibits and collections consultant, and served on the Governor-appointed Iowa Historical Records Advisory Board. She is currently the Artifact Assessment Program Coordinator for the New Jersey Association of Museums. Lindsey is also the CEO of Hangerbee, a textile preservation supply company she founded in 2014.
