Program Description

Event Details

Makers of History is a series where we engage in STEM activities inspired by famous figures.

In our interactive sessions, we will learn about famous trailblazers and make our own creations based upon their work in the field of science. This event is open to children in grades K-5.

For Arab American Heritage Month, we will learn about Shadia Habbal, a Syrian American astronomer, physicist, and eclipse chaser. We will then make our own pinhole projectors out of cereal boxes. Children will be able to use their creations to view the solar eclipse on April 8!

Sponsored by the Friends of the Livingston Library.
