Event Details
Makers of History is a series where we engage in STEM activities inspired by famous figures.
In our interactive sessions, we will learn about famous Black trailblazers and make our own creations based upon their work in the field of science.
Children in grades K-5 are welcome to come to either or both of the following sessions:
February 7: We will learn about Alexander Miles, who made elevators much safer. We will then make our own pulley systems!
February 21: We will learn about Cornelius Coffey, a pilot and aircraft mechanic who built his own planes and founded a flying school. We will then create our own flying aircrafts!
Sponsored by the Friends of the Livingston Library.
