Event Details

Makers of History is a series where we engage in STEM activities inspired by famous figures.

In our interactive sessions, we will learn about famous trailblazers and make our own creations based upon their work in the field of science. This event is open to children in grades K-5.

For Jewish American Heritage Month, we will learn about Judith Resnik, who was an astronaut, pilot, and engineer. She helped create the robotic arm used aboard the space shuttle Discovery. We will then make our own “robot” arms and use them to pick up a variety of things!
